According to the reports, ''Obi was said to have been approached to acquire some cars and property by the friend whose name was still being kept secret.
The said friend we furthered gathered was so close to Obi to the extent that he trusted him more than his biological brothers. Consequent upon that, Obi out of ignorance inspected the said property shortly after the last Nations Cup triumph and having been satisfied with it, wrote a cheque of N100 million to the swindler and since then nothing has been heard about it. And to worsen the matter, the fraudster had since gone underground.
''Mikel cannot believe it until it was confirmed it was a fraudulent deal. This is a man he trusts more than any body else and knows his in and out. He is yet to take any drastic action about the issue because he has no time to come home and start doing police wahala and to make the matter worse, nobody has set his eyes on the guy since then and he is no where to be found’’, a source in London told us.
No one can be trusted.
