While appearing on Australia's radio program, The Kyle O and Jackie Show, this week, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star confessed her mother and step-father's split wasn't all that surprisingly for her.
"It wasn’t some huge shock for the older kids," she told the DJs, adding that younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner are having "a harder time kind of understanding it."
She continued, "They were like, ‘Well, why don’t you guys just get a divorce then?!’"
According to Kardashian, the split was a good thing for both parties as her parents had been "living apart for maybe like a year now."
"Like I even said on the show, ‘Once you guys put that much space in between you guys, like, I don’t think you will ever move back together,’” the 29-year-old said. “Because you kind of get comfortable in that space. So I wasn’t for him moving out in the first place. I just kind of saw it going down this road."
"I just think they’re happier being apart," she added. "He actually wants to come over more and be around us more. So I would say it’s a really positive thing. My mom and him, there’s no animosity."
Kris and Bruce announced their official separation in early October, releasing a statement reading, "We are living separately and we are much happier this way. But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."
Both parties have since denied rumors that they are seeing other people.
