The
bizzare behavior of a group of fur seals on Marion Island,
sub-Antarctic Indian Ocean, has been caught on camera and it reveals an
enormous seal attacking a female king penguin and forcibly having sex
with her. The poor animal tries to fight back, but the fur seal is too
strong. . .
The seal overpowered her before mounting her and raping her
mercilessly. Scientists from the University of Pretoria regularly
monitor wildlife on Marion Island for rare and unusual behavior, made
four separate observations of individual
Antarctic fur seals sexually assaulting adult king penguins. . .
Although the behavior has been spotted once before, in 2006, this recent
spate suggests the acts are becoming more widespread. During a number
of the attacks, the seals successfully penetrated the birds, and at
times, blood was seen between the bird’s legs. . .
The average
copulation time was 5 minutes. Experts suggest it may have become a
learned behavior and may continue, but the reasons for the behavior are
not known.... Some human beings started ds by sleeping wt dogs up and
down. I pray animals don't turn on humans with time...
