This week has been a very interesting one, with different news ranging from Beyonce's visual album and then the one major entertainment News that has been trending since Thursday morning!
Yes, you know the sad story I am referring to....The failed marriage of Tiwa Savage and Tunji Balogun. I love Tiwa very well and wish they got this right but it is what it is.
It all started when Tiwa Savage released her ''If I start to talk video''which features Dr .Sid. In the video, she sings; If I start to talk, the thing wey I done take my eye see we no go end.
And then this scene comes on;
It shows a battered woman lying beside her husband who is smoking and surrounded by empty bottles which indicate drugs, alcohol, and domestic violence.
Then this image which shows our smoking guy with his head under a woman’s feet, shivering.
Nigerians got the message! Tiwa was telling us that she has conquered and was full of all thanks to God.
All hell let loose afterwards and Teebillz took to his instagram page to entertain most of us with his rants and farewell messages to different members of his family and in laws in the hope that he was going to end his life as a means to be free from depression.
He exposed a part of Tiwa savage that most people were not aware of and this made her a laughing stock for hours on different social media platforms.
Few hours down the line, we got the news that Teebillz had been found and was safe, it was a sigh of relief for many who loved him.
However, Tiwa decided to respond after 24 hours and she told her side of the story....revealing even more secrets, countering his claims and making Tunji a laughing stock!
In an interview she had with Pulse.ng, she spoke about how he comes home late drunk, how he takes cocaine and the fact that he was ruining her company by stealing funds.
She said a lot which you must have seen on the blog already but here are the few things I observed about these two that some of us do but we need to stop!

She said a lot which you must have seen on the blog already but here are the few things I observed about these two that some of us do but we need to stop!
Guard your heart: I remember a conversation I had with a friend of mine about our hearts and how it controls us. He went on to say that our emotions are the core of our existence on earth, so it needs to be protected constantly. The pain, joy, laughter are all emotions that come from the heart and they show in our character. Over time we take so much of pain into our core simply because we do not protect it well enough and believe we can handle it. Big NO.
Whatever you cannot handle, as a man or a woman, do not take it or say you will manage. Please don't manage it oo, don't ooo.
Whatever you cannot handle, as a man or a woman, do not take it or say you will manage. Please don't manage it oo, don't ooo.
When you see the signs....FLEE: We like to manage everything and stick to the end. We ask ourselves and sometimes tell ourselves that we can manage situations we should flee from in the first place. Most of what we see in our husbands, wives or even boo are characteristics we observed from day one or few months down the line of knowing them. God forbid we walk out simply because we believe something in us will cause them to change who they are.
Toxicity is a killer: We all become toxic to people as time goes on, but the question is how do you know when you have become a toxic person? When you do, are you willing to stop being toxic? Are you willing to accept that that person has become toxic to you and you should not be around them? Will you cut it off sharply or will you stay? At a point in their relationship, they knew they were toxic to each other because they were hurting one another but they could not help it or stop themselves. The moment you realize that you are toxic or the person close to you is and nothing seems to be changing, it's ok to walk away from it.
Don't be like them: " I will deal with him and treat him the way he treats me, I will deal with her and treat her the way she treats me". This attitude has wrecked so many people. Why do you have to become the pain to cause pain to the one who is the origin of the pain you feel? I know it is hard, very hard but I have learnt over time that the real you will always struggle with it.
You are not God: There is a reason God created man and made him a channel of blessing to other men. If you lend, stop holding it over their head. It is not every help you render you get rewarded for by the person you helped.
All homes are not perfect + Getting married to a super star comes with a price!
PS: I have read on different blogs that the lady who interview Tiwa was terrible at it. I beg to differ on that because she simply looked like someone who was not happy, hurt and was not convinced about the whole drama taking place.
We should also have it at the back of our heads that they are her friends as well, hence the reason she said "....and you guys made us cry during your vows in Dubai". That might have sounded like a jab but it was from a place of sadness.
