Photo+Video: Shocking Moment Woman Risked Her Life by Jumping Into a Tiger's Cage to Retrieve Her Hat

 

A woman has left people shocked after she risked her life to jump into a tiger's cage to retrieve her hat in a zoo.
 

A woman has caused outrage after she jumped into a tiger's cage and retrieved her hat that fell inside it at a zoo. 

 

Officials at the Toronto Zoo, are investigating the incident after a
video that was uploaded to YouTube, shows the woman jumping over a
fence to retrieve a hat that fell into a tiger cage.

 

The video shows the moment the woman climbs into the tiger's fence
as a tiger charges towards her. But, she saved as the tiger could not
get to her because of another barrier. 

 

After retrieving the hat, she jumped back over the fence as a group of spectators watched her in horror.

 

She was later arguing with two of the men at the zoo who called her
a moron for risking her life over a hat. The woman's behaviour was
termed reckless as she could easily have lost her life over a hat.

 

Toronto Zoo spokeswoman Jennifer Tracey said she learned about the incident by seeing the YouTube video. "It was very irresponsible of this person to jump into the tiger cage as she provoked the animal," Tracey said.

 

Zoo officials warned visitors not to get close to any animal, and
if an item falls into a cage, a staff member who is well equipped to
handle such a situation, should be notified.
