Rivers State Governor and Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Rotimi Amaechi has attributed the increasing level of insecurity in Nigeria to the Federal Government. The Governor also said that God, not man, installed him as the state governor because he fasted and prayed for 10 months before he became the governor. ''As a government led by me, a government installed by Christ, if anybody tells you he installed me, tell him it is a lie. Tell him that I said I prayed for 10 months and I fasted from 6am to 6pm, calling on Christ to come down and Christ came down mightily and installed me as governor. The Federal Government, in a bid to ensure the successful implementation of its recently approved National Automotive Industry Development Plan, said it would encourage local auto manufacturers to produce less expensive models with price range of between N1.2m and N1.5m. It also said it would collaborate with auto manufacturers, franchise holders, reputable motor dealers and selected banks to put in place an all-inclusive domestic dealership network through which a user-friendly vehicle purchase scheme could be funded by the National Automotive Council. These are contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the NAC in Abuja.

Popular music video director Moe Musa who is currently in the UK announced that his dad passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 in an ‘horrific accident’ in Nigeria. "Still can’t believe it, such a sudden accident and now your gone, just like that. This is my Father and he passed away yesterday morning in Nigeria due to a horrific accident. May your Soul Rest in Eternal peace… Love You Dad #CherishedEveryMoment," Moe Musa wrote on his Instagram page as he posted a photo of himself and his dad.

The General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F Kumuyi, has again warned members of the church against celebrating Christmas, saying the annual celebration of Christmas is idolatrous and unscriptural. Kumuyi warned that partaking in the celebration made Christians to go back from the commandment of Jesus Christ. The cleric said this on Saturday at the annual national December convention of the church, which held at the church’s camp ground in Ogun State.

The Pastor of the Household of God Church International, Chris Okotie, recently bought a Rolls Royce Coupe, the 2014 Bespoke Edition, to mark his 30 years as born-again Christian and 27 years as a pastor. According Okotie’s close aide, the pastor spent N120m on the luxury car and had earlier spent N33m on a Range Rover Autobiography to mark a milestone of his church. The source, in a text message, said, “Pastor Okotie just bought a Rolls Royce Coupe, 2014 Bespoke Edition at N120m to mark his 30 years as a born-again Christian and 27 years as a pastor. He had earlier bought a Range Rover (Autobiography) 2014 Model for N33m, reputed to be the costliest SUV in the world to mark this ministry’s milestone.”

Few days ago, the 12 years old romantic relationship between Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida crashed. The Rhythm 93.7 FM alleged party-freak presenter confirmed this to a national newspaper in an interview. It turns out  that the duo have unfollowed each other from social media platforms; Twitter and Instagram. Some might see this development as bad blood between the estranged lovebirds. It is unknown who first pulled the first string.

A group of Boko Haram militants in the early hours of today attacked the 202 Army Battalion Barracks located in Bama, about 40 kilometers outside Maiduguri town, and killed several women and children. The Islamic sect, according to a source in the barracks, struck around 3am local time, firing heavy arms and ammunition. A source, said that troops of the Nigerian Army and Air Force repelled the sect using fierce air and ground attacks, resulting in the killing of many of the terrorists. He explained that some soldiers in the barracks lost their wives, children and relatives in the fight, which lasted until about 7am, during which time the sound of explosives and guns filled the air. According to him, accurate details of actual casualties are unavailable, and there is tension and confusion within the military.

It was reported a few days ago that sexy Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buhari had an engagement ring on her, which left people confused as to if her lover, Jim Iyke has finally proposed marriage to her. But in a recent interview with an online media, the pretty actress said she is not engaged. Nadia explained that the ring on her is just for fashion. ''I wear what looks like an engagement ring; but I’m not engaged; I bought the ring myself," the Ghanaian star said.
