Nollywood Star actress, Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde has revealed that being educated does not necessarily guarantee success in life. She made this comment at an event held in Lagos recently. The successful movie star said while addressing a gathering, that although success is not compulsorily tied to education, it is advisable to be educated. 'There are many layers to being famous or being a celebrity and education prepares us for these layers so we can reach our full potential and be trusted with more responsibilities. Social responsibility, as you can guess, is a lot of responsibility and expression,’ she said. Nigerian music star and former Kennis music artiste, Olanrewaju Fasasi better known as Sound Sultan, has cleared the air about his Christian wife, Chichi Morah, converting to Islam. The Naija Ninja boss stated that he never forced her to embrace Islam, but it was her love for the religion that made her to swap her religious belief. “No one force anyone to do a religion. Confirmed report has it that veteran Nigerian filmmaker, Amaka Igwe is dead. The respected woman was pronounced dead in the early hours of Tuesday, April 29, 2014. From information we gathered, Amaka Igwe breathed her last after battling with Asthma attack. She produced the popular comedy series, ‘Fuji House of Commotion’ and ‘Checkmate’. Amaka Igwe is survived by her husband, Charles Igwe and children. She was aged 60.

Popular Ghanaian actress cum producer, Yvonne Nelson recently glazed the latest edition of Y! Cultural magazine as the celebrity in its front cover page. The actress talked about her work, businesses, career and her vision for the creative industry and where she sees Africa’s future. Terry G was involved in a messy fight at a hangout in his Iju neighbourhood on Wednesday. A source revealed to PM news that the singer and his boys stormed Treasures Exclusive Garden in Iju to relax but things later turned awry when one of his boys forcefully jumped into the swimming pool without paying. One of the hangout’s attendants asked the boy to come out of the pool but he refused. When he was dragged out, his colleagues reportedly reacted with violence. The ensuing free for all, the source said, saw Terry G raining blows on the hotel manager. ''When Terry G and his crew arrived the hotel around 6p.m., one of his boys just jumped into the pool without paying. The security guard called him to come out but he refused. Even the owner of the hotel, Mr. George Obot, shouted at him but he refused. Terry G further messed up the whole issue when he started abusing Mr. Obot, telling the man what did he think he has and all sort of things.

Report reaching    us has it that, popular  twins, Mamu Zee were attacked by gunmen on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. They were reportedly assaulted on Gwagwalada road in Abuja. It was said that the singers were returning from the Immigration office on Tuesday when the unfortunate incident happened. From the information gathered, the robbers allegedly shot at them and shattered their car, leaving them injured. They are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital from the wounds they reportedly got from the attack. It is yet uncertain what items were carted away from the twins by the alleged gunmen.

Popular and Veteran Nollywood actress, Clarion Chukwura, has revealed why she is eyeing the position presently occupied by Ibinabo Fiberesima, the President of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). As Nigerians mourn the deaths of hundreds of its citizens in a bomb blast that occurred in Abuja on April 14, 2014, Nollywood celebrities are equally raising their voices to mourn those who lost their lives. A shocking revelation has been made by concerned citizens of Borno and Yobe states. Some elders in both state revealed that Boko Haram militants get supplies delivered to them by helicopter, and also wondered how convoys of vehicles used by Boko Haram militants could move freely within the areas of the states despite the curfew in place. According to Nigerian Eye : The elders, who spoke at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, also asked the government to provide answer to the attack on the Maiduguri Air Force Base by insurgents, who reportedly de-mobilised and set ablaze aircrafts and other military facilities even with the existing state of emergency and curfew in the town. The federal Government case against the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Lamido Sanusi, has taken a new twist as the as the Department of State Security Service, SSS, has accused him of financing terrorism. According to Vanguard : The DSS told the court that it impounded Sanusi’s international passport because of on-going investigations over alleged terrorism financing. Further in the counter-affidavit, DSS argued that it was absurd for Sanusi to say that an interaction with DSS for less than an hour amounted to a violation of his rights. It argued that the provisions of Section 6 of the National Security Agencies Act empowered the service to impound the international passports of suspects pending conclusion of investigations. It would be recalled that upon Sanusi’s arrival at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on February 20, the DSS impounded his international passport.
