'Those discouraging Atiku from challenging Buhari in court are evil' - Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said those opposed to the decision of Atiku Abubakar to seek legal redress over the outcome of the presidential election have evil minds.   Atiku, who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost to President Muhammadu Buhari in the March 23 election.

Ubi Franklin has finally responded  to allegations made against him by his former partner, Iyanya. Alleged N2.5bn NBC fraud: Court orders Kawu’s arraignment by ICPC even if 'it's on stretcher'

A Federal High Court, Abuja, has ordered the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Ishaq Moddibo Kawu, to appear before it to answer allegations concerning his involvement in the mismanagement of N2.5 billion seed grant for the Digital Switch-Over programme of the federal government, even if it is on a stretcher. Kawu, who was to be arraigned alongside Lucky Omoluwa and Dipo Onifade, Chairman of Pinnacle Communications Limited and the Chief Operating Officer respectively, over their alleged complicity in the mismanagement of the N2.5 billion seed grant, failed to appear before Justice F. O. Giwa, claiming to be on admission at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State.

Update: Parents rush hospitals in Lagos Island to see the state of their children rescued from collapsed school building

19 persons including seven school pupils and 12 adults, have been rescued from the three-storey building that collapsed in the Ita-Faji area of Lagos Island today Wednesday March 13th.  Rescue operations spearheaded by men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are still ongoing while the police and other security operatives are monitoring the security situation at the scene.

Nigerian brothers involved Jussie Smollett attack confirm $3,500 check from the actor was payment for training & not for hate crime attack

More stories in.. It was previously reported that  Jussie Smollett  made a $3,500 check to two Nigerian brothers to stage his hate crime attack, but now the pair have confirmed the check was for a training program. According to TMZ, the $3,500 check made out to  Abel Osundairo , 25, and his brother  Ola Osundairo,  27, who are bodybuilders was for training to prepare the former Empire actor for an upcoming music video shoot.

Kukere crooner, Iyanya, had a recent interview with Bolanle Olukanni, host of the Juice on Ndani TV, where he spoke on his fallout with his former friend and boss, Ubi Franklin, his move to Don Jazzy's Mavin records and his relationship with top beautician, Freda Francis. When asked what led to his departure from Made Men Music MMM, Iyanya said  “What people don’t know is, I didn’t sell my share. People see me and say oh why did you sell your share? I didn’t sell my shares, I left Made Men at the time because there was so much darkness. In the midst of all the wings, I decided to let that go.  When I said it was darkness, I was not myself anymore because I felt like there was no trust anymore. Because at the time I was singing I co-owned Made Men with Ubi but I later realized that my name was not in any of the forms I signed and I was broken and that was the beginning of me just saying to hell with everything'' he said

Ethiopian Airlines' Black Box Has Been Recovered.

Investigators have found the flight data recorders from an Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed on Sunday.   The devices recovered at the crash site were the Boeing 737 Max 8's cockpit voice recorder and digital flight data recorder. The plane was en route from Addis Ababa to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, when it crashed six minutes after take-off, killing all 157 people on board.   Several airlines have grounded the Boeing model following the disaster. The months-old aircraft came down near the town of Bishoftu, 60km (37 miles) south-east of the capital at 08:44 local time (05:44 GMT).

PDP Alleges Fraud As INEC Declares Six States’ Governorship Poll Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday continued its declaration of results of the governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections conducted across the country on Saturday. But for the first time since 1999 that the nation embraced democracy, INEC declared governorship poll in six states inconclusive. The states affected are Kano, Sokoto, Benue, Bauchi, Adamawa and Plateau. While INEC has stopped the announcement of results in Rivers State due to the violence that engulfed the state, the commission has also controversially halted the announcement of the governorship election in Kano State which shows the Peoples Democratic Party is leading.

An unidentified passenger onboard Delta Air Lines flight to Lagos from Atlanta, United States, died three hours to landing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. A source close to the airline who craved anonymity told Thisday that the deceased had a terminal disease and wanted to come back to Nigeria, his country to spend the rest of his life, but could not make it as he died about eight hours into the flight.

Iyanya has spilled more after Ubi yesterday countered his claims by releasing documents which also carried Iyanya’s name – something Iyanya had denied. Iyanya however says, the real deal at CAC has his name missing and Ubi’s brothers names were replaced with his. He also revealed that Emma Nyra was the one that coined the MMMG. Ubi says their war started when he was in America with Tekno. Hear him; ‘I remember our first fight was when I was on tour in America with Tekno and he told me that Ubi told him I don’t like him, Tekno also revealed how he had made well over 30 million since we signed him but Ubi never told me.

Plane forced to turn around after mother forgot her baby at the airport

A plane was forced to return because a mother on the flight forgot her baby on the ground . According to  Gulf News,  Flight SV832, from Jeddah to Kuala Lampur, turned back after the Saudi mother told cabin crew that she had forgotten her baby in the boarding area at the terminal of the King Abdul Aziz International Airport.

Teenager sentenced to 6 years in jail for stealing ladies pants

The 19-year-old son of a herbalist, Olasunkanmi Yekini, was on Monday sentenced to six years in prison by an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court for stealing ladies’ pants. Yekini was arraigned on two counts of stealing and breach of peace.
