According the TheCableNg , Godsday Orubebe, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and representative of President Goodluck Jonathan at the national collation centre in Abuja, has announced the party’s rejection of the results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Speaking at the International Conference Centre as the announcement of results was about to start few minutes ago, Orubebe said the commission’s chairman, Attahiru Jega, was biased and he would not allow the results to be announced. He said he was already in possession of a full printed result when PDP’s grievances were yet to be addressed. The People’s Democratic Party in Kano State has called for the cancellation of results of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state. Malaysia to hang Nigerian student for drug trafficking

A 29-year-old Nigerian student at a private college in Malaysia, Luke Nnaemeka Ugwu, has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Malaysian High Court for drug trafficking. Ugwu, who was found guilty of trafficking 725.4gm of methamphetamine in 2012, was sentenced by Justice Datuk Abdul Alim Abdullah of the High Court Shah Alam on Friday. Ugwu committed the offence at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport arrival hall in Sepang at 9.45 pm on May 15, 2012, Malaysian National News Agency reports.

Teenager kills boyfriend for attempted rape..

The police in Lagos have arrested an 18-year-old lady, Kafayat Olawale, for allegedly stabbing to death her boyfriend, Ojo Ijabike, 32. The incident happened on Friday on Olutola Adebayo Street, off Idimu Road, in the Alimosho area of Lagos State. Investigations by Punch Metro revealed that Ijabike, an indigene of Owo, Ondo State, had attempted to forcefully have carnal knowledge of the suspect when there was a scuffle between them.

Amaechi Declares Curfew In Rivers State

The Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has declared a dusk-to-dawn curfew on Port Harcourt, the state capital, hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission announced the result of the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state. The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) defeated President Goodluck Jonathan in the elections conducted inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja. There are two polling units-Unit 021 and 022-located side-by-side within the premises of the seat of power. Buhari polled a total of 613 votes in the two polling units while Jonathan scored a total of 595 votes. At Unit 021, Jonathan beat Buhari to second position with 293 votes while the APC candidate scored 265 votes.
