According to a report from TMZ , 81-year-old Joan Rivers is currently on life support. According to our sources, the family will have to decide in the next couple of days whether to keep the 81-year-old on life support. We’re told the family remains hopeful that if they do decide to turn off the machines, she will make a turn for the better and fight through it.  As previously reported, Joan Rivers was rushed to the hospital after she stopped breathing during a surgical procedure on Thursday.  Joan’s daughter Melissa said in a statement Friday that her mother was “receiving the best treatment and care possible.” She also thanked Rivers’ fans and friends for their support. “My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world,” Melissa Rivers said. “Her condition remains serious … We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery.” Keep sending your prayers up!

The wife of late Dr. Iyke Enemuo has been moved to the Ebola isolation and treatment center in Lagos. The doctor seceretly treated an ECOWAS diplomat, Koye Olu-Ibukun , who is suspected to be index case of Ebola in Port Harcourt. After her husband contracted the virus while apparently successfully treating the ECOWAS staff, he passed it on to the wife before he died last week Friday. Her three month-old baby is reportedly not showing any symptoms of the virus yet, and has been taken away from her custody.

Emeka Onwugbenu , first son of Louis Carter Group  Chairman, and Onyinye Chukwuma , daughter of Innoson motors CEO, will be having their white wedding this weekend. Their all-white pre-wedding dinner is currently holding at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos, and Genevieve Nnaji is one of the guests. She is a friend of the family. Joan Rivers is currently in a medically induced coma after she stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest while undergoing a throat surgery at a New York City clinic. While many reports said Joan was “in stable condition”, today it has emerged that she has been placed in a medically induced coma. Now CNN reveals that on Wednesday, a day before the cardiac arrest, the 81 year old comedienne had joked about death.

President Obama was making serious comments yesterday about the threat that the Islamic State terrorist group poses, but social media, and especially Twitter was more obsessed with his tan suit. Obama has worn that suit before, once on a visit to church on Easter Sunday, but his typical work-a-day suits are more dark-colored. So I saw this write-up and thought to share. Whether you are aware of it or not, many inter-tribal relationships have died an untimely death because of the tribal differences between the couple.  No place is safe again...Three hotel attendants, has been charged to court on Thursday for allegedly recorded a customer’s sexual affair and in turn demanded a ransom of N10 million. According to Prosecutor Uche Simon, told the court, that the employees used the hotel’s CCTV to record the guest having sex with his girlfriend. which was produced in a VCD and later circulated to residents of the area. They also demanded a N10 million ransom and threatened to post it on the social media platform, Facebook if the man failed to part with the money. And when they failed to turn up with the money, they posted it on the Facebook between August 13 and 23.

  A Chinese man was rushed to a hospital after a thick metal bar fell through his head while he was carrying out DIY work at his former home. The 50-year-old man identified as Mr Ho, was dismantling the property in Leye County, Guangxi Province, when a large metal bar fell from above and pierced the right side of his forehead and exiting through the left side of his jaw.  Luckily, he Miraculously survived the injury after a successful surgery, where doctors were forced to called in firefighters with specialist cutting equipment to remove the bulk of the metal bar before transfering him to a larger hospital where complex emergency surgery was carried out to remove the section of metal still embedded deep inside his head. Yesterday, a Catholic Church  complained that Boko Haram members had taken over the parish church house as well as houses of Christians in Madagali, Adamawa State. Madagali town is the headquarters of the Madagali Local Government Area and it shares border with Borno State. It is also the closest town to Gwoza, the town that Boko Haram has already annexed. The church, in an electronic press statement by the Director, Catholic Social Communications in-charge of the Maiduguri Diocese, Rev. Fr. Gideon Obasogie, said that though the members of Boko Haram had been known not to discriminate in their attacks, it however seemed that Christians and Christian institutions had been at the receiving end of the sect’s mayhem.

According to new reports, Joan Rivers has been placed in a medically induced coma following a routine endoscopy. She continues to remain hospitalized in the hospital in New York City. Joan's daughter, Melissa Rivers said in a statement, "I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother,"  "She is resting comfortably and is with our family. The former Director general of the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and former Minister of Information, Prof. Dora Nkem Akunyili, was laid to rest on Thursday the 28th of August 2014 at Agulu, in Aniocha local government area of Anambra State. Akunyili, died on the 7th of June. She was interred at exactly 2.15pm yesterday in the family compound. Her remains were brought to Madonna Catholic Church, Anambra state on Thursday. A requiem mass preceding the burial was held in the morning/afternoon

A member of staff of ECOWAS, who was on the team that received the late Patrick Sawyer in Lagos, made a trip to Port Harcourt where he checked into a hotel and met with Dr. Iyke  Enemuo. The ECOWAS official whose name was not given, was said to have had contact with Patrick. He was placed under surveillance in Lagos but he escaped to Port Harcourt  where he checked into a hotel and contacted Enemuo for treatment.The official recovered from the ailment and returned to Lagos. Health workers were said to have tested him when he allegedly came for a clearance certificate and gave him a clean bill of health.
