Video: Watch Idris Elba Jokes About His Big Bulge Scandal on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Screen Shot 2014-08-27 at 12.52.22 PM

We’re still getting over our disappointment about Idris Elba’s ‘massive bulge’ actually being a microphone wire.
Idris stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote his latest film, No Good Deed and of course Jimmy couldn’t let Idris leave without bringing it up. He asked Idris why he decided to debunk the myth.

“I mean, I just don’t want to scare the world,” said Idris. “When I saw it on CNN, I was like, ‘OK, this has to stop.’”
The two then went back and forth for a second about what the mic wire actually looks like.

“It looks like God loves you very much,” Kimmel joked before adding, “Why are you mic-ing that part of your body? Does it talk?”
