The Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule on Tuesday abandoned Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to support  Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the two-horse race to pick the ticket to represent the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 governorship election.

Melania Trump arrived in Ghana on Tuesday, choosing for her first extended International trip alone to visit Africa, a continent her husband has referred to derisively. The U.S. first lady touched down at mid-morning in Ghana’s Capital, Accra, where she was greeted by the country’s first lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, and a young girl who offered Her flowers. A welcoming ceremony of drums and dancing by men and women dressed in traditional attire followed. Trump clapped her hands and waved at a group of school children waiting for her at the airport.

Tinubu Finally Open Up On Why He Dumped Ambode

The National leader of the  All Progressives Congress, APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu has finally spoken on why he dmped Ambode for a new candidate Sanwo-Olu saying it is not for a personal reason but it's what Lagos APC wants. Tinubu said Ambode has done well has a Governor but he has not Been a good party man. Tinubu spoke with journalists at Ward C, Ikeja Local Government Area, after the conclusion of voting in the Lagos APC governorship primary.

#LagosAPCPrimaries: Ambode has done well as governor but he's not a good party man - Tinubu

Today, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said that though Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has done well in office, he has not been a good party man. For this reason, Tinubu said, the party has decided to withdraw support for the governor who wished to go for a second term. He stressed that the decision to abandon Ambode for Babajide Sanwo-Olu was beyond him, adding that he was only doing the wishes of the party, which had entrusted him with its leadership.
