Pastor Sunday Olise of the Christ Embassy Church in Lagos has landed in prison after he allegedly impregnated a church member and took her to two doctors for illegal abortion.
Two medical doctors, Emmanuel Enabulele and Tunde Omotosho, and Pastor Sunday Olise of the Christ Embassy Church were on Tuesday arraigned before a Lagos court for their alleged involvement in the procurement of series of illegal abortions on a 16-year old orphaned house maid.
The suspects were arraigned before Ogba Magistrates’ court on the alleged offence under the Criminal Code, according to a report by PM Express.
The Olise was granted bail by presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.S. Adesanya in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum after pleading not guilty. While the two doctors were given bail in the sum of N200,000 each with two sureties in like sum. They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 12 July 2017.
It was gathered that the doctors were implicated by the victim, and Olise revealed the involvement of the doctors after Olise impregnated the girl for the fourth time and took her to the doctors for termination of the pregnancy. However, there was a complication after the evacuation as the girl started bleeding profusely from her private. She collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.
While at the hospital, the teenage girl revealed what happened and Olise was first arrested before the two doctors. P.M.EXPRESS had reported how the victim was lying critically ill after she was forcefully induced resorting to an uncompleted abortion by his benefactor who is a minister at Christ Embassy Church Egbe branch in, Lagos. The incident happened at 6 Dolamo street in Agodo Egbe in Ikotun area where Olise resides with the victim and family.
