Breakups are miserable enough, but when one or both parties involved are celebrities, it can turn into an all-out nightmare. Nicki Minaj and Safaree “Scaff Beezy” Samuels ended their 11-year relationship last year, but a recent interview is still causing a bit of turmoil.
Samuels, who worked closely with Nicki on her music as well — he was the executive producer on Pink Friday — spoke about the breakup with “The Breakfast Club,” and one portion got the rumor mill going.
Samuels said that he sometimes helped Nicki in the studio, which of course started rumors that he wrote raps for her. “Every time it came to writing raps, it was me, her and the beat,” he said at the time.
