Sometimes we don’t measure correctly, or we flip our wrists a little too much and drown the food in salt.
It happens to the best if us, and then we panic. Sometimes the meal ends up in the thrash can because it is simply not palatable.
Here is a simple trick that takes care of this cooking disaster:
The potatoes should remain in the food for about 10 minutes after which it should have absorbed the excess salt from the food.
Alternatively, you can add a little sugar to the food. While this will not reduce the salt in the food, it will balance out the sodium.
