Mavin Records songstress and mother of one, Tiwa Savage has defended Nigerian artistes who sell their crafts with s*xual touches. 

Nigerian sensational singer, Tiwa Savage, has revealed why artists cannot be stopped from being s*xual in their stage-craft and even in the entertainment industry as a whole. 

 

The Eminado crooner who gave reasons for this extra creativity noted that the desire for glamour and appeal by every entertainer will not make the trends go away. 

 

Speaking on the morning show of Arise TV, she stressed that entertainers cannot be stopped from adopting all these scenes but can be regulated through appropriate guidelines provided by a competent body or authority.

 

Tiwa Savage who described herself as a modern-day Fela girl said: 

 

"Fela girls were misunderstood. What they did on stage was just entertainment. What they do on stage does not mean that they are loose off stage. The women added glamour to Fela’s show.

"There is no way a movie and entertainment will not have s*xual scenes. You cannot stop an artiste from being sexual in entertainment. The only thing we can do as Africans is to provide guidelines. 

"When I performed initially in Nigeria, they screamed that it was too much; that it was too s*xual. We are still fighting the same battle the Fela girls fought."
