Drama as Police Officer is Lynched to Death for Robbing a House

Residents of a community have descended on a police man and lynched him to death after he was caught with his colleagues trying to rob a house.

A police officer has been killed by angry residents who accused him of robbing a house, News24 reports. However, two of his gang members were wounded in the botched robbery which took place in Kamulu, Nairobi of Kenya.

 

Eyewitnesses revealed that the officers had gone to steal from a homestead on Monday night when an alarm was raised, alerting a mob that killed one officer and injured two others while more escaped on foot.

 

Kayole OCPD Ali Nuno told News24 that indeed those found were officers off duty.

"They are Police officers on duty and we suspect they had gone to commit crime," he stated.

 

He said that the ones in hospital are being questioned over the matter.

 

"We are already questioning them. They were eight so we want to know the identities of the other five," he added.

 

The injured are being treated at the Mama Lucy hospital in Kayole.
